Meeting of the Model Trains
The traditional Spring gathering of model railway enthusiasts and their models in the Railway Museum.
The second annual model railway weekend gathering for the Finnish model railway hobbyists features models and layouts in various model railway scales. This event is a unique opportunity to admire some award winning masterpieces of miniature engineering and learn more about model railway hobby.
This event is the premiere for some model railway layouts and this time there is a strong emphasis on module layouts in H0 and N scales with participation from other countries too. There will also be demonstrations and some very unique hand built models of Finnish rolling stock sizes from few millimeters to super sized models of one meter long or bigger.
If the weather permits, the garden railway outdoors will be operated all day long with live steam engines and of course, the museums own little diesel locomotive, Aatto.
This event is part of the National Museum Week in Finland.
